The Prosthetic and Wheelchair Centre delivers artificial limb/rehabilitation services for patients north of the river Mersey, Wheelchair Services for patients with a South Sefton GP and a wig service for patients from Aintree University Hospital.
A Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine leads the multi-disciplinary team in meeting the rehabilitation needs of amputees and people with permanent mobility problems. The team includes occupational therapists, physiotherapists, rehabilitation engineers, prosthetists, technicians, orthotists, psychologists, podiatrists, nursing and administration staff.

Prosthetic (Limb) Services
Consultant, AHP or GP referrals.
Wheelchair Service
Patients can be referred to the service via their GP, consultant, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, social care professional or accredited wheelchair therapist.
Existing users of NHS wheelchair equipment can re-refer themselves for a reassessment.
