How to sign up to be a Member of Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
What is a Member?
A Member can be anyone in our community, including patients and staff, that takes an active interest in their local hospitals and would like to have a say in how their health services are run.
As a Foundation Trust we use the views of our members to shape our services to best serve the people in our community.
Our Council of Governors voice the feedback from our members to the Board of Directors, to influence decision making and the Trust’s future plans.

Who can be a Member?
We welcome members who are over 16 years of age and who live in England and Wales.
What are the benefits of being a Member?
Once registered you will be kept up to date about Trust news through our Members’ Bulletin, you can vote and/or stand in governor elections, attend member events and you can sign up on Health Service Discounts website to receive exclusive offers and discounts!
Most importantly, you can have your say on how your healthcare services are developed.
How involved can members be?
As a member you can choose how involved you want to be, and will have the opportunity to take part in;
Public meetings and open days
Surveys, workshops and focus groups
Take part in the consultation on the Trust’s plans
Become part of a virtual form to help develop better information
Attend our Annual Members Meeting.
How do I sign up?
Signing up as a Member is completely free and couldn’t be easier, simply complete our online application form. Alternatively, you can print off the membership form and once completed return it to the Corporate Governance Team.
