The Special Care Dentistry service provides specialist dental care on a referral basis to specific patients.
This includes those patients who have a physical, sensory, intellectual, mental, medical, or emotional/social impairment or disability, or a combination of these factors.
We work collaboratively with specialist colleagues across our hospitals, including Haematology (blood) and Hepatology (renal) to support patients with various conditions.
We also work closely with health and social care colleague within the community and throughout the Merseyside region to provide care.
We provide special care dentistry to those throughout Cheshire and Merseyside and accept tertiary referrals from other centres in the North West and the Isle of Man.
