Our Paediatric Dentistry team provides specialist dental care for the diagnosis and management of various dental conditions in children.

Our service delivers the short and long-term management of several conditions including dental trauma, and complex developmental anomalies (such as missing teeth).

We provide services for children with complex medical needs, behavioural and learning difficulties and use measures to make treatment more comfortable including the use of inhalation sedation (happy air), intravenous sedation and general anaesthesia.

As a University Teaching Hospital, we also provide primary dental care for children treated at the undergraduate clinic, under supervision. We work closely with other specialities including Orthodontics, Oral Surgery and Endodontics (root canals).

We accept referrals from general dental practitioners/dentists, community dental services and hospital specialists.
