This page will give you a list of all the shops, catering outlets and facilities available at Aintree University Hospital, including locations and opening times.
All units accept card and cash payments.
Restaurant
The restaurant is located on the ground floor near to the Aintree Lodge entrance of the hospital. Opening hours are Monday to Friday, 7.30am-2.15pm. The restaurant offers a range of meals, including a noodle bar, baked potatoes, salads, sandwiches made to order and hot and cold drinks.
The Bistro
The Bistro is located opposite the main restaurant near to the Aintree Lodge entrance. The Bistro serves Costa Coffee and offers a wide range of hot and cold meals and snacks. Card payments are accepted. Opening hours are Monday to Friday, 7.30am-8.30pm, and at weekends, 9.30am-6.30pm.
Fresh
Fresh is located near to the main entrance of the hospital and sells smoothies, wedges, salads and healthy wraps to order. Opening hours are Monday to Friday, 9.30am-5.30pm.
Torino Italian Cafe
Torino is located off the main hospital corridor, next to Lloyds Pharmacy, it sells freshly made pizza, ciabattas, Lavazza coffee and cakes. It is open Monday to Friday, 7.30am-4pm.
The Coffee Shop
The Coffee Shop is located near the main hospital entrance and serves Starbucks hot drinks, baked potatoes, sandwiches, cakes and hot and cold drinks. It is open Monday to Friday, 7.30am-8pm and at weekends, 8am-7.30pm.
Emergency Department Coffee Shop
The Emergency Department (ED) Coffee Shop is located just off the ED waiting room and reception, and serves toasties, sandwiches and hot and cold drinks. It is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Zest Coffee Shop
Zest is located off Broadway on Aintree Road, and serves toasties, sandwiches and hot and cold drinks. It is open Monday to Friday, 8am-2pm.
Elective Care Centre Café
Located on the ground floor of the Elective Care Centre, the café serves Starbucks hot drinks, toasties, cakes, sandwiches, confectionary, newspapers, magazines and gifts. It is open Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm.
Vending machines
Vending machines are located throughout the main hospital building. There is a Lavazza Coffee machine on the main hospital corridor.
Tower Block Shop
The shop is located near to the main entrance of the hospital and offers a wide selection of items including newspapers, magazines, confectionery, cold drinks, gifts and toiletries. It is open 7.30am-7.30pm, Monday to Friday, and 8am-7pm at weekends.
Wheelchairs
Wheelchairs should be available at the hospital main entrance, but these are utilised widely and may not always be available.
Changing places
There are two changing places located on-site, one nearby to the main hospital entrance by main reception, and the other in our Elective Care Centre, ground floor by the Radiology Department.
Baby change
There is a baby change room on-site on the main hospital corridor by Lloyds Pharmacy and Torino.
Lloyds Pharmacy
Lloyds Pharmacy is located next to Torino and is open Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm.
Cash machines
Cash machines are located at the main reception and Aintree Lodge entrance. There is a 65p charge per withdrawal.
Amazon Lockers
Amazon lockers can be located on the ground floor next to the Tower Block lifts.
Royal Mail post box
The post box can be located near the main entrance.
Cash Office
The cashier’s office is open to members of the public who are eligible for refunds for their travel Monday to Thursday, 9am-5pm and Friday, 9am-4.30pm. The cashier’s office is located behind the Aintree Lodge reception of the main hospital building.
