From the 11 December 2023, Breast Service and Musculoskeletal patients referred to the Royal Liverpool University Hospital and Broadgreen Hospital will receive their outpatient appointment letters electronically to mobile phones.

A text message will be sent to notify them when they have a new digital outpatient letter available to view. This message will come from 07860 039092.

Automated reminder messages are issued to patients who do not open their letter, and printed letters are sent by post if a patient has not opened their letter online within two days of receiving their notification text message.

Patients who do not have a mobile phone will receive their letter through the post.

Patients will be able to login to their patient portal using an online system called Dr Doctor. They will then have the option to view, download and print their letter. Patients can still choose to receive printed letters by post by choosing this option when they login to Dr Doctor.

Patients can access the online Dr Doctor system using the same login details they use for the NHS app. Alternatively they can login as a guest by providing their last name, date of birth and post code, after which they will receive a one-time password on their mobile phone to finalise the sign in.

Should Patients have any problems from the 11th December they are advised to contact:
